For Fans of: Bjork, Massive Attack,Lana Del Rey, ERA C, Sofia Insua

Tugging on our emotions with their previous single ‘0-60 mph’, newly formed electronic duo ERA C left us filled with wonder and admiration. The duo consists of Sofia Insua who is part of the well-established band Easy Easy and noteworthy producer Mirza Ramic who forms part of the electronic duo Arms and Sleepers. ERA C dabbles between electronic genres with finesse. One thing that is a constant factor in their sound is that one cannot help but feel intrigued listening regardless of genre preferences due to engrossing vulnerability translated in their electronic landscapes. Today, the duo have shared their hotly anticipated debut album DELIRIA via Future Archive Recordings.

In an interview with Reverbs (read full interview) Sofia elaborated on how the album concept was subconsciously thought out: “Mirza and I spent chunks of time together in the studio creating the core of the album in the same room, but there was mostly a huge void (time and space) between us.  The actual circumstances we were going through infiltrated the music ~ looking for the next step and finding ways for meaningful relationships to survive.”

Sofia and Mirza currently reside in Germany, both had to adjust to moving across the world to pursue their careers and this sacrifice is clearly well worth the effort. The DELIRIA album translates feelings of despondency, strained relationships, and alienation. Through their use of incorporating their current experience into their sound, the duo makes an album that is beautifully organic and original in its honesty.
