“In the soft and well-crafted “Sorrow,” Lee sings vulnerably about tough times.”
Rolling Stone India
Jacob Lee’s single ‘Sorrow,’ released on 20 September via Philosophical Records (Lee’s own label). The multi-talented Australian alternative-pop singer-songwriter premiered the song via Rolling Stone India. It’s the third single following ‘Zen’ and ‘Artistry’ from his upcoming album Jacob Lee’s Book of Lyricism (Vol 1) due later this year.
The track was produced by Matthew Bartlem (Broods, Matt Corby, Dead Letter Circus) of Loose Stones Studios. Lee, born in Gold Coast, Queensland, Lee always felt compelled to yield music as a passage for self-expression. He described his upcoming album as the perfect evolution from Philosophy, released in 2015. His music incorporates elements of a variety of genres, his sound has been compared to the likes of James Bay, Calum Scott and Sleeping At Last.
Lee has blessed us with a second video to accompany the song. Watch the latest video where he shares, “Sorrow is an emotion, I never really understood until now…”
