Here at Reverbs, we’re long time fans of Italian producer Mattia Cupelli and his ambient releases. Back in 2019, we followed the musician as he built towards the release of the UNDERNEATH LP – you can read some of our features on the artist here. At the time, in an interview with PAPER MagazineMattia Cupelli hinted to the public that he was also working on another LP however, he didn’t feel his fans were ready for it yet.y

This year seems to mark a series of new releases for the musician – and we feel this is the previously hinted step away from his traditional style and towards a new path. Most noticeably, we’ve heard rumours of a new LP (RUINS) which is slated for release on the 9th of July. Ahead of the album, Mattia Cupelli has shared the dark and eerie MONOLITH single and today marks the release of ‘EGERIA’, a provocative single that delves into the world of dance.

With a name that pays tribute to a Roman nymph, we knew this release was going to be one for the books. Speaking of the single, Mattia Cupelli tells us: “EGERIA is like an endless cycle of time. Past, present and future are in the same place, as we were and will be as human beings. But some things are just timeless”
