Ka Fu Remixes ‘Rain Catcher’ by Lama’s Dream

The experimental and electronic DJ Ka Fu adds to the Lama’s Dream ‘Rain Catcher’ song, with his varied dimensions in his soundscapes. The song features celestial, emotive and distorted vocals of a male. He does not tamper with the integrity of the original acoustics however he adds layers to it instead.  Edited samples are added, each variation getting a few seconds to shine before they are unified with the rest of the track. The synth bass dominates the track in bursts. The overall feeling the listener gets from this track is a meditative wonder.

Ka Fu’s sound is inspired by that of Depeche mode, Noah B and Kareful. The remix captures various emotions, events, passions and the skill of Ka Fu that shines through the original. Lama’s Dream is a project by DJ Denis Brunich, who collaborated with numerous musicians around the world. All of his songs capture an underlying story amongst the mellow tempo that results in beautiful thought-provoking discourse.

Ka Fu elaborates on his remix, “The original tune itself is a piece of art and the remixes from other artists like Ivan Latyshev were on a super high level so that was a real challenge for me. That’s why I decided to go the other way when creating my vision. I basically repeated my meditation practise and recalled the sounds that were born in my head during this mind silence mode. So that’s how the main element came out – the bassline – deep and on a certain frequency that corresponds to my internal breathing sound so I’ve just recorded it into my mind and then put in notes. So all the rest came out around this centre bassline flow and literally the whole creation process I was floating and talking with that lower frequency melody… Such a unique experience – the song created by feelings and not by specific rules.”
