The video, produced by Parisian VFX Studio Mathematic, intelligently mixes the depth of 3D movement with 2D organic characters. A dystopian world, highlighted by finely composed, powerfully crafted images, reminds us that we must not lose sight of where we come from and where we are going.
Calling to mind the scope of Kubrick’s “2001: Space Odyssey”, the director (also known for her critically acclaimed video for The Foals‘ “Like Lightning”) takes the viewer on a trip from humanity’s seemingly forgotten past to the all-to-foreseeable future of cold technological dystopia: “I wanted the viewer to feel the abyss dug between these two sides of humanity.”, Kypriotis says. 
Sustainability and environmental collapse are topics that Rone has been addressing for years – in 2020, they have become more urgent than ever before.
