Thomas Blondet shares the inspiration behind the single: “‘Seascapes’ was inspired by my residency DJing at Eighteenth Street Lounge for over 20 years. This is something I would play at ESL to get the dance floor going.”

The musical pairing is an unusual one, as label head Thomas Blondet traditionally steers towards other  chilled trip-hop stylings, having worked with the likes of Thievery Corporation and Balkan Beat. Steven Rubin, on the other hand, is a rising artist who is currently in an alternative rock band called Jackie and The Treehorns. However, based on ‘Seascapes’ and the already released ‘Complicated Shadows’, this pairing has already proved themselves as one to pay attention to.
