Let’s ease into the weekend with the chilled soundscapes of ‘Mute Theatre’ from Melldu. The single is the title track of his upcoming album, slated for release on the 2nd of April via Maida Maori. The St. Petersburg-based artist will also be releasing the LP in a vinyl edition, which will be available via the imprint’s site

If listeners are looking for further insight into Melldu’s laid back sound, they should look no further than River, the first single to be released from the Mute Theatre LP. There appears to be a few more unique song titles to come – including ‘Heaven’, immediately followed by ‘Sadness’

The title of both the single and LP is a curious one unto itself – the concept of a “mute theatre” being presented in an audio state is intriguing. We’re invited to explore the endless possibilities in this train of thought by Melldu’s single, ‘Mute Theatre’ and we’re ever so hopeful the LP will set listeners on a similar train of philosophical thoughts.
