FENRA is out with his debut single ‘COFFEE’ , through 6x Records, with mastering from Aneek Thapar, the guy behind sounds for Rival Consoles and Max Cooper. It teases what’s coming on his first EP Delusional, landing November 28, 2025. From Santa Rosa, California, and now rooted in Portland, Oregon, FENRA serves as the electronic outlet for producer B Laws. He grew up in a creative world, first grabbing onto harmony via hymns at church with his grandma.

Picking up guitar on his own at 14 led to experimenting with synths, singing, and beats in bands that toured the US, Europe, and Asia. Now channeling that background into solo work, he looks to artists like Caribou, Four Tet, Floating Points, Bonobo, and DJ Koze for electronic drive. Add in the sparse precision of Philip Glass and the authenticity from Gloria Ann Taylor, and you get FENRA‘s approach: tunes that link wide-open production techniques with a sincere intimacy. ‘COFFEE’ captures that genre-mixing edge, making it a natural draw for followers of his inspirations.

The track ‘COFFEE’ pulls together off-kilter ambient moods and slow-tempo beats, folding in natural acoustic details. Lowered vocals mix with hammered dulcimer tones, set against fuzzy backdrops and airy pads that shape a cohesive sound where the rhythm unwinds in a circular pattern.

FENRA had this to say: “COFFEE’ might be my favorite song on Delusional. The hammered dulcimer / pitched vocal combo is not something I had heard before and I really like the way it turned out.
