With Secret Garden Party’s pledge to back Chai Wallahs’ Drop a Headliner initiative, aimed at nurturing emerging artists for their 2024 edition, their carefully-curated lineup boasts over 350 performers. Among them are Unkle, Crystal Fighters, Chinchilla, Franky Wah, Carly Wilford, Adelphi Music Factory, Jakkob, Omega Nebula, Technobrass, and TC & The Groove. Additionally, independent groups such as The Living Room & Noiganica will host dedicated venues. Collaborations with Save Our Scene, Parable Music, Dubtendo, Truth Tribe, and numerous other collectives promise captivating stage takeovers, ensuring an unparalleled event in July 2024.
Embracing their rich two-decade history with pride, Secret Garden Party has continuously forged new paths in their programming, actively advocating for and spotlighting emerging artists. Over the years, the festival has showcased an array of thrilling talent, from established names like Lily Allen, Ed Sheeran, and Dua Lipa, to instrumental figures in launching the careers of now-global sensations like Florence & The Machine, The XX, and Regina Spektor, whose inaugural festival performance was at SGP.
Founder Fred Fellowes emphasises the importance of inclusivity, stating “We believe in being a breeding ground for talent to grow. Why allocate a massive budget to one or two headliners when it could fuel another 50 outstanding acts? This year’s focus is on providing grassroots artists the ability to shine, whilst actively redefining festival experiences for the future.”
