Rich Aucoin has shared the music video for one of the album cuts, ‘The Base’

Canadian Indie Electronic musician, Rich Aucoin, has shared the video to his intro track
‘The Base’ on 7 June from his third album, Release. ‘The Base’ features the voice of
Sam Harris, neuroscientist, philosopher, and best-selling author, as he guides a meditation
on living in the now. The song and its video are a challenge to the standard definition of time
that controls our day to day living and to the subordination of nature by humans.

When speaking about the album, Rich Aucoin explained, “This is an album about death and
about the foundations of our beliefs on the universe and how they help us cope with the
knowledge of our mortality…”

The video for ‘The Base’ features a ‘suited-up’ Aucoin situated in a range of beautiful land and
sea environments, creating an interesting visual juxtaposition between chaos and order. The
video is masterfully edited, finely tailored to the movement of the song, and succinctly
communicates the relationship between humans, nature and concepts of time.

Aucoin is an artist determined to make a difference and ‘The Base’ is an example of how
elegantly he is able to inspire change and spark a conversation around a complex topic.
