The highly anticipated sequel to cult 90s film Trainspotting will hit UK cinemas on January 27, but first: let’s see who’s featuring on the soundtrack.
The CD was briefly listed on Amazon as to be released on January 27, the same launch date as the film, being quickly taken down shortly afterwards. However, Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh sent a tweet that seems to have confirmed that it’s for real.

Some of the artists in the original film are again featured, including Iggy Pop and Underworld. New names include Young Fathers, Fat White Family and Wolf Alice.
Classics such as ‘Relax’ by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, ‘Dreaming’ by Blondie and Queen’s ‘Radio Ga Ga’ will also help set the mood for the film.
But while the filmmakers area clearly reluctant to dash their hopes at reviving old fandom by ignoring the must-haves, modernized versions 90s numbers have also graced the list. Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust For Life’ has been remixed by The Prodigy, and Underworld return with a ‘sequel song’ called ‘Slow Slippy’, assumed to be a take on the seminal ‘Born Slippy’
