After the successful release of their single “Put It Away,” Vienna-based band Dawa went on to release their “Put It Away- Remixes” EP. Now comes the release of the video for the original track.
Dawa describe their sound as “warm, rich and handmade” and the video compliments this beautifully, centered around a group of people enjoying quality time and relaxing at a picnic, complete with bonfires and guitars.
DAWA was formed in 2014 by John Dawa (vocals/guitar), Barbara Wiesinger (vocals/percussion), Laura Pudelek (cello) and Oama Richson (cajón/percussion), after John and Barbara met Laura and Oama at a street concert at the Ragnarhof in May 2010. After discovering that they had more than just musical ability and enthusiasm in common, the rest, as they say is history.
Dawa will be performing on 28 July 28 at Rock the Park in Groß Gerungs, Lower Austria, 11 & 12 August at Free Tree Open Air Festival in Taiskrichen im Innkreis, and 13 December at the Concert Hall in Vienna. For more info on their live shows, click here.
