Delicate piano keys introduce Psycho & Plastic’s latest introspective single, ‘Fragile Targets’, to create a distinctively classical feel. Sound fractals orbit around their steady pulse, while lamenting layers breathe heavily, inhaling airy reverbs and exhaling ambiance.

Like wisps of mist floating over a brooding ocean, a layer of crackling static engulfs the composition, and the bright shimmer of the piano shines through it, parting the clouds. As with life and death, black and white, up and down, the musical elements of this track contrast with each other, resulting in a drama between organic and synthetic instrumentation. This entices the ear, while distorted tones disturb it.

Psycho & Plastic delve into the idea that existence is temporary and that only by resigning ourselves to its impermanence can we truly appreciate it. The journey is short, but ‘Fragile Targets’ will be a guide to anyone willing to surrender to its sophisticated elegance.
