Dutch singer Donna Lugassy released her new EP

The official release of Donna Lugassy’s new EP has just released via Lugassy Records. The track ‘Take My Breathe Away’ by VINAI and 22Bullets features the songstress. Other collaborations include Kittball Records’ Robosonic & Ferreck Dawn’s ‘Were There’ single, with DJ Sidney Samson’s Deadly Zoo she sang and assisted with the songwriting.Lugassy has been supported by successful Youtube channels like Spinnin’ Records, MrRevillz, La Belle Musique, Basshall Movement, FunX and Tribal Trap. Her total stream count thus far is close to 4 million streams.

Donna grew up in a multi-ethnic family. Her father is of Israeli/Morrocan descent and her mother is Dutch. Luggasy’s talent was discovered at the young age of 10 years, at 14 years she would begin singing lessons. She started producing her own music soon after that, realizing how challenging it was to break into the music industry. Much later, Donna would graduate from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam.

The entire EP is focused on romantic relationships, starting with the warm and affectionate tone of ‘Moonrise’, and close to the end of the EP the tone shifts to a bitter tone in ‘Break Up’. Donna was inspired by the works of D’Angelo’s Brown Sugar album. Her vocal range has the maturity of Beyonce. However, her ever-changing style is reminiscent of talents like SZA and Solange.
