Aussie musician and composer Holo has shared his latest EP In Limbo and it’s an electronica fan’s perfect idea of a chilled night in. Released via Houseum’s sub-label Ellipse Records, this fresh offering is comprised of four spirited electronic tracks.

Stream / Download: In Limbo EP

The EP title track starts off the mood of Holo’s colourful soundscape on a calm and collected note. Along with an added sophisticated groove, which is the perfect ambience for sipping that glass of wine you have been craving while the conversation flows smoothly.

‘Supersonic’ is reminiscent of ‘90s breakbeat tracks. Two worlds collide with cascading synth elements that layer a minimal electronic tone, amidst a laidback and casual street edge.

The ‘In Limbo – Dark Mix’ incorporates percussion like the original, but the groove is far more sinister and energetically synth-filled along with eerie opera-like warped vocals. Perfect for late-night drives that overlook the city nightlife.

Concluding track ‘Bleu’ ends the EP on a gentler note with whimsical and ethereal electronica combinations. With lots to absorb musically on this release, one is not disappointed at the range and tone of Holo’s non-conforming and free artistry.
