Review: Blanco Decazador ‘Rw #2’

Credit : Lino Escurí

Blanco Decazador is the brainchild of artist and producer Iván Blanco, who hails from the Galician region of Spain. Releasing his new track ‘Rw #2’ on the 20th of October, the producers artistic vision takes the form of a multi-faceted transformation, where layers of samples are intricately moulded, overlaid, and bent through a complex process. This results in mesmerizing soundscapes that undulate and twist like distant, fading memories. In the realm of his music, he crafts a narrative akin to a wordless film, guided by structures reminiscent of both classical compositions and cinematic themes.

This approach shines brilliantly in ‘Rw #2,‘ a composition rich with a tapestry of diverse sonic landscapes and ambient drones. Radiating a gentle and tranquil luminosity, this piece invites contemplation, with its subtlety intertwined and distinctive yet understated motifs. With his sonic prowess, Decazador endeavors to convey his emotions and experiences to the listener. Something he succeeds in doing on ‘Rw #2’, as he uses his artistry to transport the listener to another dimension in space and time.
