Australian producer Luminist has scored the soundtrack for The Wildboy Studios video game Atone: Heart of the Elder Tree. Released via the Infinite Hex imprint, the project sees Luminist take his talent and use it to produce atmospheric records like ‘Morning Whispers’, a high-quality production that, like a heartbeat, pulsates at the core of the project.

The mood of ‘Morning Whispers’ is gentle, like the touch of a loved one. Slightly distorted pluck arpeggiators open the record. Setting the scene, they transport us to a world where we are the hero, caught in the fog of some foreign land.

“This was my first time writing music for a videogame, and it was a huge learning experience,” he said. Even though the project marks the producer’s official debut in the videogame soundtrack world, he got in his practice by remaking the music from the 1986 video game Metroid, which caught the attention of GameSpot, a prominent gaming magazine. This prior experience culminated in the expansive and professional body of work we hear today.
