Perth-based band Kinobe give us the gold. That is, they have unveiled their latest easy-listening single ‘Falling Star’ ahead of their eighth studio album, Over The Horizon, which will become available on the 4th of August under the SGKL label. The mastering of the project was entrusted to Frank Arkwright from Abbey Road Studios, a name many well-versed in the music culture will recognise.

“When I wrote this song I was imagining what might be playing on the jukebox while J.J. Cale, John Barry, and Percy Faith play poker in the bar of a formerly-splendid-but-now-run-down hotel somewhere down a forgotten desert highway as the colours of the sunset revive its faded glory,” said Kinobe.

‘Falling Star’ opens with a warm and hazy, multi-layered synth stab, introducing us to a single that shimmers with all kinds of curious tones. Centred around a set of guitar chords, this one colours the world in rose-tinted glasses – it closely resembles the soundtrack of a Bond film. Give it a listen!
