Kiasmos to release a new album ‘Blurred’ via Erased Tapes

Kiasmos are an electronic/neo-classical duo based in Reykjavik, Iceland. Comprised of BAFTA-award winning composer Ólafur Arnalds and electro-pop mastermind Janus Rasmussen, the pair create music together by combining classical arrangements with synth-heavy, electro-pop percussion.

Formed in 2009, the duo certainly seem to feed off of one another in remarkable ways. Throughout the years, Arnalds’ has managed to create quite an established name for himself in the classical music scene, and while Rasmussen has been an important part of the Icelandic electronic/dance scene for some time, the pair reportedly became best friends soon after spending time together during individual tours, and expressing their mutual love for music.

Kiasmos have been touring the world extensively since their first release, with visits to North America, Brazil, Switzerland and many more so far, they continue to bring their own unique brand of melancholic dance to all corners of the earth.

A new EP titled “Blurred” will be released via Erased Tapes on 6 October.
