My music is completely an unorthodox experience. I typically create based off emotions and vibes with no genre limitations. Having said that, you’ll never know what your going to get with me. My album “LONE. BLACK. WOLF.” is a great example of that. You really just have to check out my music to draw your own conclusions though.
Can you talk us through your songwriting process?
I don’t really have a set process per se, every song is conceived and executed differently honestly. It just depends on the vibes and the mood I’m in, what strikes me first the chorus, the verses, and so on.
What are your biggest musical influences? Are they all similar?
My influences definitely stem from anyone doing something innovative in my eyes. Anyone who is creating something new and unique, going against the grain in a sense of not conforming to what’s popular. The people that make their own waves are the ones I really respect.
Can you tells us your top 3 favourite albums ever?
Ah man, that’s a hard question. I can’t answer that but I can give you 3 that have gotten heavy rotation for years, no particular order but:
1. Simple Things or When It Falls, both by Zero 7
2. Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
3. College Dropout by Kanye West
These albums are special to me, I listen to them pretty frequently. They all have replay value and I feel that’s one of the most important elements when cultivating an album.
If you could choose one musician dead or alive, famous or not famous to join the band, who would it be?
Well I’m a solo artist, but I would say out of everyone in the industry, I want to work with The Neptunes. Everything they’ve done has helped to mold me into the artist I am today. They are definitely some of the most innovative minds in the game, and that’s something I truly appreciate.
