Felsmann and Tiley share beautifully melancholic video for ‘October’ ahead of upcoming album

Felsmann + Tiley are the duo responding to the lack instrumental ‘synth-only’ music in the international scene; while that sounds like an extremely niche form of music, this pair are showing the world how exceptionally versatile and emotive this electronic instrument can be.

While both members of the outfit have been working in various circles of music production for most of their lives, they have announced that they will be sharing their debut album under the Felsmann + Tiley moniker next month, on December the 6th. The new LP is a 12-track synth triumph titled ‘Tempora’, with each track representing a month of the year. In anticipation of this exciting release, Felsmann + Tiley have shared their debut music video, for their track ‘October’.

‘October’ is one of the more melancholic pieces on the forthcoming album, but is not self-pitying in the lease; in fact, its melancholy lies in the pensiveness it exudes, as well as the whirling cinematic nature of the layered synthesizers. The music video has captured this thoughtful and wistful mood of ‘October’; director Nicole Tsin opted for a set of images that are not overly explicit in their meaning, making the viewer create their own ideas. Following scenes of an aging man as he approaches different settings in a dreamlike, surreal way, the viewer is able to reflect and ask a host of different questions about life and time that may or may not be answered by the end of the piece of music.
