EMMI IIDA’s serene and soothing new single, ‘Energy Guru’, invites you to heal with her

Finnish multi-modal EMMI IIDA has unveiled another single, ‘Energy Guru’, on the 26th of October 2023 via her own label EFG Records Oy. Fresh off the heels of the success of her first single, ‘Blooming’, her second has already gained support from leading publications METAL Magazine, NOCTIS Mag and CLASH Mag, as well as an interview with MTV Finland. ‘Energy Guru’ was produced by #1, gold-disc selling songwriter and producer Jess Sharman, who is behind music for film and TV such as Grey’s Anatomy, Love Island and The Inbetweeners.

‘Energy Guru’ is a love song to the individual and to humanity as a whole. Beginning with a lush, ethereal soundscape, EMMI IIDA’s vocals are ushered in as sparkling strings and spellbinding synths swell gently with emotion. Her breathtakingly angelic voice beckons the listener in, singing of self-love, empowerment and expressing yourself freely. Switching to a rich, raw spoken word passage near the end, she asks the listener to remember our collective humanity and seek connection with other people. ‘Energy Guru’ is a transportive and soothing antidote to the bustle and fragmentation of the capitalist working world – a gentle reminder to allow yourself to be human.
