Straying from their typical sound, LoTemp dives into the realm of downtempo with Creativity Takes Courage. The three-track EP dropped February 22, 2023, showcasing a fresh side to LoTemp’s production talents. Each track features misty, melodic, soundscapes and basslines – a dreamy contrast to their usual fiery energy.

Creativity Takes Courage follows the path originally paved by LoTemp’s downtempo A/V storytelling experience released on YouTube in September of 2020, originally aired via WTF’s That Sound & Subciety’s ‘Disphotic Zone’ virtual festival.. Creativity Takes Courage is the first multi-track body of work from the duo since 2019. It demarcates a new pillar of their career.

Kansas City-based duo LoTemp is no stranger to the electronic music community. Since their beginnings in 2017, members Dylan Hochanadel and Cody Hannah have been involved in the freeform bass scene in a variety of positive ways. The skilled producers also double as industry professionals, overseeing the highly reputable event production company ZOOKS and ensuring the KCMO underground market continues to thrive.

LoTemp’s widely loved releases have found homes on well-established labels including SpicyBois, SurRealist Records, and Wtf’s That Sound. On top of their ever-evolving dynamic sound, LoTemp is known and loved for their high-energy stage presence and cohesive, engaging sets. Scratching the surface of what’s to come, they’ve already graced stages at festivals such as Wakaan Music Festival, Kosmic Kingdom, Dancefestopia, and more.

After joining the Electric Hawk management roster in early 2022, the LoTemp boys are currently gearing up for the new releases and announcements to come in this exciting chapter of their careers.
