Releasing their debut EP Sojourn to the public, a song that sticks out for us on duo BYLJA’s new EP the most would definitely be ‘Nord’. Adorned with cascading synth textures, this track will leave one thinking they are nestled between a waterfall and a field of wildflowers and wildlife. BYLJA consists of friends Marchel Mørk and Emil Aagaard who both share a mutual love for electronic textures in an ever-changing music landscape.

In an interview with Chill Music, the producers talked about the EP: “Some of the adjectives we use about our music is dynamic, melancholic, and awe-inspiring. We hope the listeners will imagine themselves traveling through our solar system, appreciate the rings of Saturn, and look humbly back at the Earth to see how fragile and lonely it is drifting through space.”

Inspired by the life that exists beyond Earth, this duo certainly leaves us in awe with this enigmatic EP that is bursting with creativity and energetic notes. ‘Nord’ is a meditative track that precedes the climactic final song ‘Three Earths’. Prepare to feel a wave of calm, insight, and stillness wash over your mind as you absorb this EP.
