Music has been a passion for Philippe Fagnoni aka AstroVoyager from a young age. Before exploring the boundaries of electro-symphonic music, Phillippe was part of a number of bands. In his eleven years under the moniker AstroVoyager, he has released three studio albums, six EP’s and two live recordings.
Under his own label, CosmXploreR (CXR), which he started in 2011, AstroVoyager has produced seven albums and signed multiple artists to the label. His success lies in the timelessness of his music, evident in tracks such as ‘Telescope’, ‘Full Moon Rendezvous’, ‘Apollo 11’, ‘Pulsation IV’ and ‘Oscillation V’.
AstroVoyager gradually weaves electronic synthesizers and keyboards with instruments from a full orchestra to create an electronic symphony. Complemented by an extraordinary live performance AstroVoyager’s ultimate goal is to completely immerse the listener in the music and visuals taking them onto a cosmic journey. Drawing influences from electronic music pioneers Jean-Michel Jarre, Space (Didier Marouani), Schiller and Deep Forest, the symphonic orchestra concept recently adopted by techno legends Jeff Mills, Marc Romboy and Derrick May is enchanting and timeless.
AstroVoyager’s most ambitious projects is his upcoming album Big Bang. A comprised musical mosaic of over 30 artists and the participation of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, it took 3 years of studio work to complete.
