Jerry Folk drops smashing 80s-inspired track ‘Intertwined’

Internationally renowned electronic music artist Jerry Folk unleashed his single ‘Intertwined’ on 18 October via Folkestad Records. The single premiered on influential tastemaker This Song Is Sick’s SoundCloud page, and is the first track released from his upcoming album. ‘Intertwined’ features Jerry’s side project FENGSEL and Oslo-born electronic music producer Bearson. The single is a bold shift in direction for Jerry, as he victoriously merges contemporary electronic music with 80s infused cascades and theatrics.

Based in Oslo, Norway Jerry made a name for himself through his colossal remixes of tracks by Billie Eilish and Charlie Puth. He’s also received support from a string of internationally renowned publications including COMPLEX, Highsnobiety, This Song Is Sick, Mixmag and CLASH to name a few, while he’s also performed at Coachella and Mixmag Lab.

‘Intertwined’ is filled with drama, excitement and fervent emotion. It channels themes of self-discovery, growth and the confusion that comes with both of these unavoidable elements of life. The track features exhilarating synths and keyboard notes that transport the listener to an 80s-tinged dimension. If ‘Intertwined’ is anything to go by, Jerry Folk’s forthcoming album will be some of his greatest work to date.

Jerry Folk told us: “This is the first song of an upcoming album of mine. I’ve been interested in trying to make stadium 80’s type music with big reverbs, drum hits and phil collins type reverbs. Bearson and I made this track in LA earlier this year and it sparked a lot of creativity for the rest of the release.
