Bon-Psy adds his spin to David Gotham’s “Enter The Holy Divine Part1”. Currently more well known for his former alias Ekcle, David Gotham’s debut single as a solo act “Enter, The Holy Divine” shows similar promise and intrigue, capturing the essence of a musical journey, with melodic and rhythmic twists and turns throughout. Bon-Psy’s incredibly unique take drives the song in yet another direction – a jazz-electronica

hybrid fusion, that any listener of intricate music could appreciate. “I’m really happy with what Gian brought to this tune,” Gotham said. “Hearing it turned completely into something with heavy jazz influences was something I certainly wasn’t expecting.” The artists clearly had fun while making the tune. Anyone who listens to just a few seconds of the jazzy upbeat track can feel the jubilance and excitement Bon-Psy and David Gotham translate into sound. “After listening to it multiple times, the cello section stood out to me—I’ve always loved incorporating jazzy elements into my tunes and with that lick I thought I could go for a full Bon-Psy jazz infused track,” Bon-Psy said. “I’m really stoked how it came out, my favourite tunes to work on are the ones that I’m dancing around the studio making, and for this one I was going crazy!”

“Enter, The Holy Divine” feels like a journey for the mind. Light bells dance around the melody, whilst the lower more intensive cello grounds the entire production. The glitchy vocals flow effortlessly into a gentle whooshing midsection. The track seemingly transcends genre as it incorporates jazzy elements into the backdrop of an ambient single, Gotham’s vocals bursting out in front of the harmony. “I’ve never screw faced to a jazz tune or section before, I don’t think, and I remember saying that in a voice note to Gian when I was giving feedback on one of the first versions!”, Gotham said.

Gotham’s style shows a balance between mystery and uplifting through a mix of electronic ambient sounds. He is a renaissance man of music, with nearly ten years of experience in bands, composing for films, singing, and playing guitar. Bon-Psy walks the path in the sweet spot between jazz, ambiance, and glitch genres. His music has been featured on BBC Introducing and it is clear Bon-Psy is only just getting started and will continue to make incredible music.
